SEYAJ’s priority is “proactive protection against crime before it occurs” based on the results of the evaluation of its experience in the monitoring, protection and advocacy of abused children during the period 2008 to 2015.
SEYAJ fights to achieve this through:
- Economic empowerment of poor and poorest families to help them recover and improve their livelihoods, especially female-headed households after the loss of their provider due to war; poverty and poor living are among the most violent environments against children that deprive children of their rights.
- To raise the level of awareness among local communities and to enable them to increase their participation in child protection.
- Building the capacity of Yemeni non-governmental associations and organizations specialized in the protection and development of local communities, especially those working in rural areas and secondary cities, by qualifying them in aspects of: institutional building, financial and administrative regulations and regulations; preparation and marketing of projects; successful financial and administrative management;
