The Seyaj Organization and the Bar Association branch in Taiz governorate agreed to form a joint committee to identify the difficulties and challenges facing children’s justice in the governorate and hinder victims’ access to redress, legal protection, and care.

This comes as part of Seyaj’s strategy to create a protective environment for children by supporting the efforts of the executive and judicial authorities and the community surrounding the child. It also comes within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Seyaj and the Yemeni Bar Association signed in 2010.

The agreement followed a joint meeting between Seyaj, represented by the head of the organization, Ahmed Al-Qorashi, and the branch of the syndicate in the governorate, represented by Brother Mokhtar Al-Wafi, a member of the Syndicate Council.

Attorney Ali Al-Sarari, a Seyaj legal aid official, and several lawyers and legal advisors participated in the discussion.
