Press Release
Seyaj Organization for the Protection of Childhood (SEYAJ):
We have confirmed over the past three years an unprecedented increase in crimes against children in Yemen; and that the majority of criminals against children easily escape punishment; Due to the lack of a juvenile justice system, the majority of victims, especially victims of sexual violence, do not receive legal aid and lack proper advocacy to ensure their rights and preserve their dignity. The Monitoring and Protection Center at Seyaj is mobilizing all its volunteers—both male and female—to support victims of the crimes of: (1- Murder 2- Sexual violence, including rape, sexual exploitation, harassment, and child marriage) during the period 2016-2018. Reports can be made from mobile phones via the following link: http://seyaj.org/ar/child-violence. With everyone’s cooperation, we will be able to make a significant positive difference in achieving justice for victims and reducing violence against children, despite the considerable challenges and difficulties. Issued by: Monitoring and Protection Center, Seyaj Organization for Child Protection, Yemen, October 14, 2018
