On Saturday evening, July 26, tribal gunmen killed 11-year-old Amjad Samir Abdul Raqib Al-Jama’i in the Najd Al-Jama’i area of Al-Sabrah district, Ibb Governorate, in central Yemen. The victim’s family stated that gunmen affiliated with an influential figure in the area shot the child and fled. The Seyaj Organization for Child Protection condemns this heinous crime and calls upon the governor of the province and the director general of police to swiftly arrest the perpetrators, bring them to trial, and ensure justice for the victim’s family. Seyaj extends its sincere condolences to the mother and family of Amjad Al-Jama’i, who was killed approximately a year after his father, engineer Samir Al-Jama’i, was also murdered.
