The Siyaj Organization for Child Protection strongly condemns the threats made against its representative in Al-Dhale’ Governorate, journalist and human rights activist Saleh Al-Mansoub. Siyaj calls upon the Attorney General and the Minister of the Interior to protect Mr. Al-Mansoub, launch an immediate investigation, and bring those responsible for these threats to justice. Mr. Al-Mansoub had filed a report with the organization confirming that he was subjected to threats and intimidation by the Director of the Qa’tabah Health Office, Muthanna Al-Shuaibi, and another individual. At 11:30 PM last Wednesday, the aforementioned individual contacted him, calling him a thug and using vulgar, offensive, and insulting language, threatening him with punishment for publishing a news item in Al-Oula newspaper about expired medications being dumped in the city center. Another person also contacted him on the same matter, defiantly and indifferently.
