The Seyaj Organization concluded today its training program on reducing child marriage for 100 marriage registrars and 60 lawyers (both male and female) from the governorates of Sana’a, Ibb, Hodeidah, and Hajjah. The program focused on monitoring, reporting, and providing legal protection to victims in the absence of national legislation criminalizing such practices.
Seyaj had previously implemented a specialized training program during July-September 2012 as part of the “My Life” project, which was supported by the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) and implemented in cooperation with the Marriage Without Network. Risks.
