Working Mechanisms

Center Services

Receiving Reports and Complaints

Receiving reports from the community, documenting crimes through an electronic system that protects confidentiality, then providing legal protection and referrals for psychosocial support services.

Community Awareness

Spreading awareness to create a child-protective environment, contribute to better legislation, build staff capacity, and coordinate with governmental and non-governmental actors.

Protection and Advocacy

Providing judicial assistance and legal consultations to victims, referring unaccompanied children to care services, and mobilizing support according to ethical principles.

Reports and Studies

Preparing and publishing reports, studies, and surveys in cooperation with academics and specialists, then sharing them with national and international institutions.

Monitoring and Protection System (15 Years of Development)

Over fifteen years, Seyaj has developed its monitoring and protection systems and policies, foremost among them an automated monitoring system for collecting and analyzing data and information, issuing reports, and archiving and preserving documents with ease, confidentiality, and security.

Greater Challenges and Responsibilities

The failure to report the overwhelming majority of crimes against children in Yemen, including sexual violence, has contributed to their unprecedented rise during the war because of fear of stigma, difficulty reaching justice institutions, poverty, and displacement.
