This comprehensive approach to child protection can be translated as follows:
By strengthening preventive protection policies and procedures for all children against all forms of violence, exploitation, neglect, and abuse by family and society—or the six grave violations in armed conflicts—through monitoring, documentation, awareness-raising, and the provision of legal consultations, psychosocial support, legal aid, and advocacy for victims and their families.
To expand and facilitate its services, Seyaj has developed a monitoring and protection system that all community members can access and use easily and safely to report crimes and request consultations.
Our key protection measures and services include:
- Receiving, verifying, monitoring, and documenting reports and complaints.
- Providing early legal consultations for the guardians of victims, particularly during the investigation and evidence-gathering stages by the police and public prosecution.
- Communicating with and addressing officials in justice and law enforcement institutions to strengthen the legal standing of victims and their families.
- Media advocacy and mobilizing community and human rights support.
- Psychosocial support, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
- Referral to shelter, care, psychosocial support, and other services provided by governmental or non-governmental organizations.
