Water is life. Given that water scarcity in Yemen and the difficulty of accessing it in most regions are major causes of children losing their basic and optimal rights—such as health, education, development, and well-being—Seyaj seeks to contribute to ensuring all children, both boys and girls, have access to “clean, safe, and affordable” drinking water and sanitation services. We place “special attention on the needs of women, girls, and those living in vulnerable situations” and work to “enhance the awareness and participation of local communities in preserving and ensuring the sustainability of water resources” to mitigate the negative impacts that water scarcity, lack of access, or contamination have on children’s rights.
