Seyaj Organization for Childhood Protection concluded a training program for 100 marriage registrars and 60 male and female lawyers from Amanat Al-Asimah, Ibb, Al Hudaydah, and Hajjah on monitoring, reporting, and providing legal protection to victims of child marriage.

The specialized training was carried out between July and September 2012 as part of the ‘My Life’ project implemented by Seyaj with support from the Middle East Partnership Initiative and in cooperation with the Marriage Without Risks Network.

The program focused on strengthening documentation, reporting, and legal response in a context where national legislation still does not criminalize such harmful practices clearly enough.
