An international report revealed a worsening pattern of child recruitment in Yemen, particularly since the outbreak of the protest movement and the severe political crisis that struck the country.

According to a report submitted by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to the Security Council, the United Nations and its partners documented the recruitment of children in Yemen by conflict parties.

The report highlighted the growing scale of the problem and reinforced concern that children were being drawn ever more deeply into armed conflict in violation of their rights and international law.
