A young girl in Hodeidah governorate died in a gas cylinder explosion at her family’s home. According to the Ministry of Interior’s Security Media Center, the girl, who was one and a half years old, died and six other family members were injured, including three children aged between four and twelve.
Civil defense teams in Hodeidah city rushed to the scene and transferred the injured to the hospital. The incident was attributed to gas leakage and family negligence.
Civil defense authorities reportedly record between twenty-five and thirty household fire incidents across Yemen’s governorates due to gas cylinder leaks.
