Seyaj thanked the judicial authorities in Hajjah governorate in northwestern Yemen for enforcing the sentence of retribution against the rapist and killer of a twelve-year-old girl.
The death sentence was carried out by firing squad in Bani Qais district after the perpetrator was found guilty of abducting, raping, and killing Inas Hassan Allan Al-Shammari, a case that Seyaj had followed closely through legal advocacy and victim support.
The organization urged security and judicial authorities in all Yemeni governorates not to show leniency and to ensure public and swift enforcement of the strongest legal penalties against those who rape, kill, or abduct children.
