Seyaj condemned the act of a sniper affiliated with the Houthi group who killed one child and seriously wounded his younger brother in the city of Taiz.

Eyewitnesses as well as security and rights sources told Seyaj that ten-year-old Saber Abdo Qaid Al-Samadi was shot in the head and died immediately, while his eight-year-old brother Mohammed was seriously wounded and continued to receive treatment in one of the city’s hospitals.

The organization described the crime as part of a long series of deadly attacks that have targeted hundreds of civilians, most of them women and children, in Taiz over more than five years. Seyaj called for an investigation, legal action against those responsible, and compensation for the victims in accordance with the law.
