The Improvement Office in Taiz governorate launched a campaign to eliminate rabid dogs that had spread across the city center, in response to calls from Seyaj’s office in the governorate and the efforts it made with the relevant authorities. The move followed the death of seven-year-old Ismail Al-Wasabi after he was attacked by a dog in Al-Noor area of Al-Mudhaffar district.

Seyaj’s representative in the governorate, lawyer Ali Al-Sarari, said that his meeting with the governorate’s Director-General of Improvement, engineer Ghazi Ahmed Ali, produced positive results aimed at protecting children from stray dogs.

Al-Sarari explained that the growing number of dogs had become a serious problem and confirmed that the security authorities were investigating the dog’s owner.
