Seyaj welcomed the directions issued by Yemen’s Minister of Defense to investigate and refer those responsible for recruiting children into the armed forces to the judiciary.

The organization said it possesses testimony, photos, and documents proving the presence of child recruits in the military and security sectors and expressed readiness to cooperate in the humanitarian effort to discharge and rehabilitate child recruits in both government-aligned and opposition-aligned armed formations.

Seyaj also called for urgent practical steps to release and reintegrate all child recruits in the army, security forces, and armed groups through programs consistent with international standards, especially the Paris Principles.
