Seyaj Organization for Childhood Protection strongly condemned threats made against its representative in Al Dhalea governorate, journalist and human rights activist Saleh Al-Mansoub.

The organization called on the Attorney General and the Minister of Interior to protect Al-Mansoub, open an urgent investigation, and bring those responsible for the threats to justice. According to the report submitted to Seyaj, the threats came after he published a news item about expired medicines being thrown into the middle of the city.

Seyaj said that intimidation of journalists and rights defenders must not be tolerated and that those who use threats to silence public-interest reporting should be held accountable.
