Seyaj Organization for Childhood Protection concluded a Training of Trainers course for 30 male and female lawyers from 14 Yemeni governorates with support from UNICEF and the European Union.

At the closing ceremony, George Abu Al-Zulf, the protection officer at UNICEF Yemen, said that Seyaj had achieved major and influential successes in a short time and had taken distinguished steps in protecting and advocating for child rights in Yemen. He added that the organization had earned broad respect and trust and that UNICEF would continue supporting its programs and helping strengthen its capacities.

The President of the Yemeni Bar Association also emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership between Seyaj and the Lawyers’ Syndicate in directly protecting child rights and providing judicial assistance. Seyaj President Ahmed Al-Qurashi said the organization had from its first day chosen a clear path focused on monitoring, documentation, protection, and advocacy for abused children and on being a real partner to government and international institutions.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
